Alcohol and pancreatic cancer (1):

  • low and medium levels of alcohol consumption are not associated with increased pancreatic cancer risk, but high intakes (>50 g ethanol/day) may be associated with a small increase in risk. The exact role of alcohol consumption remains unclear

  • Studies where smoking status was considered separately were suggestive of an effect of alcohol on pancreatic cancer independent of the effect of smoking
